Journals
The Ceylon Journal of Science was founded in 1924 by the government of Ceylon. With the establishment of the igt²ÊƱ in 1942., the administration of the Journal was taken up by the igt²ÊƱ. The igt²ÊƱ continued to publish two journals, Ceylon Journal of Science (Biological Sciences) and Ceylon Journal of Science (Physical Sciences) unit 2015-2016.
In 2016 the two journals, CJS (Biol. Sci.) and CJS (Phys. Sci.), were amalgamated in to a new journal, Ceylon Journal of Science (CJS). This is an open access journal, published by the igt²ÊƱ, in both electronic and print versions and administered by the Faculty of Science. The journal is published quarterly, in March, June, September and December.

The igt²ÊƱ Review, founded in 1943, was replaced by Modern Ceylon Studies (MCS) and Ceylon Journal of the Humanities in 1963. MCS is now published under the title Modern Sri Lanka Studies. MSLS is listed in the International Bibliography of Periodical Literature (IBZ).

First published in 1975, the Sri Lanka Journal of the Humanities (SLJH) is the successor to the Ceylon Journal of the Humanities. SLJH is listed in the International Bibliography of Periodical Literature (IBZ).

The Sambhavana Journal which is in Sinhala medium, is published bi-annually by the Department of Sinhala of the Faculty of Arts.
